Knodishall

Pevsner (and the Ordnance Survey maps) still refer to Red House Farmhouse but it is now called Buxlow Manor.  It is dated 1678.  Pevsner refers to the two blank niches and to the higher one with a ‘statue of St Agnes’.  The statue is probably medieval but is no longer considered to be St Agnes - possibly St Margaret.  It is likely that it came from the nearby ruined Church of St Peter of the parish of Buxlow.  The parish was later merged with Knodishall.

Pevsner refers to two 15ft high remnants of the tower of St Peter but this is not obvious from the road and the path to the Church now appears to be a private road to two houses so I did not investigate further
